One more airless power roller question

I really appreciated the replies to my last thread regarding power roller attachments for airless sprayers. At any rate, I've noticed the kit that Titan sells... one head is a "pressure" roller and the other has a spray tip that applies the paint to any 9" roller cover.

Has anyone used the roller with the spray tip? How much over-spray might there be? If the pressures are kept low and the spray pattern is applied directly to the roller, I would imagine the over-spray would be minimal. Even with the above kept in mind, any time paint is being atomized under pressure, the possibility for stray over-spray would exist.

I orginally ordered just the pressure roller, but received a notice that it was out of stock. I found this other kit that includes both heads and might order that instead.

Thoughts on this?

steve

I did Have a Titan Power roller complete kit once. But I never used the spray roller attachment and I used it a lot. I love the long exension plole and never had a problem with leaks because the the roller asssembly is metal to metal no rubber gaskets.

IMO the spray roller attachment is for exterior use ony and would be used an a rough textured surface such as brick or stucco.

I wish I still had mine but it got stolen and cannot afford to replace it. Alot of guys hate power rollers because they take so much time to clean up. But If you are on interior jobs with really high ceilings I love them. I would like to know where you found the titan kit and how much was it?

Spraymall.com had the complete kit. I had originally placed an order with O-gee paint for a pressure roller. But just today a spray roller head showed up. So now I'm really confused

I think I'll give it a whirl anyway. I also got a 3' extension, too.

Hated the internal-feed roller

Perhaps I had a cheaper version, but I used a roller like this attached to my airless . Used it for about 5 hours. I didn't even bother cleaning it out -- threw it into the trash. Ones that spray ONTO a roller (instead of from within) are okay, but just having 1 man spray and 1 man backroll is still superior.
