Ok, but Behr paint really does suck

and I thought it was just me!

I'm using the trim paint now for the door and window trim. Some of it is touch up and some is new and it looks like crap. I tried to paint the doors (textured) and yes, it dries too quickly, doesn't cover for anything and drips, glops and goops. I'll have to put on 3 coats at least. Not happy.

What do you guys recommend?

Told ya

I've used and can recommend:
Any premium Ben Moore or Sherwin Williams
The premium Pittsburgh (and their Speed Hide primer/sealer)

The "contractor lines" from all those companies aren't as good, but they are still better than Behr

I've also used the Behr and Glidden, American Tradition, and....I forget what the Wal*Mart one is...made by Valspar(?)
I wouldn't touch any of them ever again

I use mostly Ben Moore, around here thats what most want. I would have no prob arguing paint choice with a customer.

May dad thinks the behr hd products are the cats a,ss. Something about Spackle and primer going on pink or something.

Not used behr meself.

LOL will do.They are cheap around here, paint stores ,lumber yards, all cheap.

Go in the hardware store and see all the sales workers decked out in Bosch sweats, hats, tee's,you spend five hun or 15 hun and they give you some lame excuse why they don't have any to pass out.Not just a me thing, they are hard to gets. I said we are the ones that use and buy the tools WTF ya giving it them for ?

When I registered with Bosch,I complained so she sent me a fews Tee's.I wanted a white hat with the Blogo on it,but I could see where thatwas going, so I was happy with the tee's.

Thanks for the tip Kelly.

Thumbs up

I use Finneran and Haley. The flat covers great and the semi-gloss is nice and thick and cover great too!

Oh ya one ben Moore paint I don't reccomend is the kitchen and bath.Garbage as far as I am concerned.

Also gave my brother the home owner a hand this weekend painting his basement family room. Yup tells me he has all the paint and everything, except drop cloths, lighting and space to work in.

He has the k+b paint, when I saw it I groaned.I saw a case/box ,thought he had 4 gallons, nope two.So we get through most the first coat ,run out of paint and the coverage as usual with that ,sucks. He noticed that and, I just gave the ol told ya so look. Off to the store he goes, lowes.Says he is going to get different paint/color,I say just get the moore glow, nope. He comes back with american heritage k+b paint.i grown again,he says to bad I like the finish.

This crap sagged, would set up before you could back brush just about and would pull.Just crap.New color to boot.So now a one color two coat job turns into a three coat job, paint the base same color as the wall job. He had painted the floor earlier in the week and it was still tacky, had a wet feel under your feet.I am surprised it just wasn't picking up as you walked accross it. Frikking gym equipment in the way ,could hardly get behind it,furniture, tables, desks.

Just a gawd awful experiance all around. Told him he was lucky he was my brother or I would have laughed and walked away from that one under those conditions.
I also said don't tell anyone my brother the painter helped me.

Kristina, use any paint you can find, the trick is, it always works better if you paint in the nude....
