Well If I was spraying it out like that with no window protection and no back brush I could do it for $1200 since it would be done in a day..... But if I bagged all the windows and Did it right up here it would be around 5K. I might charge them extra for picking and ugly color too.

In my area i would be in the 4k - 5k range, but i don't think I would get it. there are to many guys like BMAN who would spray it and get it done quickly. (BMAN, I know you said 5k if done right) I a lot people in this area do not realize the benefits of back brushing wood trim especially cedar.

Also there a lot of large outside contractors around here with 10 - 15 man crews and they will know that house out in no time and be gone, they advertize hard and have a great sales man, and the homeowners bite!

They changed from that gray to tan when we got done with that one side. I never ended up taking after pictures. They jumped on our bid right away for 5k im thinking others might have told them 10k. I sprayed everything but the front side.

Do you brush and roll every surface or do some spraying? Was the siding in horrible condtion (lots of scraping, sanding and priming)?

What matters is how many man hrs did it take you?

5000 GRAND, less material-overhead and how about loss time? Setting
up everyday-moving ladders and staging-cleaning up-masking-drop cloths---etc,

The PDCA has a excellent estimating guide with rates for trim, siding etc.

ESTIMATE dont Guesstimate.......

You nailed that one on the head. These are the houses that we paint on a daily basis and our charge falls in the area of $7k to $whatever k. All based on sq ft and ln ft. I think it is a strange way to spray the house, bottom then a little on top and around a window and then up by the soffit and then.....

Probably 4-5K Looks like a quick power wash was about all the prep. cover windows and spray back brush first coat. 5 days one man.
