NJ Hourly Wages

Hi, all. Been a long time since I've visited the forum. Hope to get back to it more regularly. Hope everyone is doing well.

My husband and I will likely be moving to NJ in the next year or so and I'll have a bunch of questions about that later, I'm sure, but for now could those of you from NJ give me some idea of what the going (or high/low) hourly rate is for a foreman in the (mostly) residential construction business?

Hmm, - - I knew you'd be back, - - Jerseyan's always seem to come back to the 'roost', - - congratulations on that and good luck, - - I'm sure you'll be moving in or near Princeton, - - and, as stated above, - - one should be able to command a minimum of about $23/hr. and a maximum of about $27/hr. to start with all the bennies. Keep in mind I'm talking more about construction in general than painting, specificly.

Most of the painting in the area seems to be by 'Julius Gross' (though I'm not familiar with his pay scale), and a few of the high end (and excellent) construction companies are 'Lasley/Brahaney' and 'Dunham Construction'.

Re: NJ Hourly Wages

Thanks, MTI and Tom R, for the wage estimates. That's about what I was thinking.

Tom, it IS time to come home. Been away since college ('84). Having a child now and having a mother who's faltering under the increasing load of caring for a husband with Parkinson's makes it all the more important to be with my family.
