practice. I've been spraying about five years now. I still find different ways I need to do things. Practice with priming, ceilings, barns, etc. Anything that can give you experience. After some practice try some finish coats. Spraying trim with an airless takes some practice. I remember a guy I worked with sprayed everything. I always told him I could turn out more work than him with brush and roller. I was always giving him a hard time. Now five years later it is one of the most important tools in my arsenal. I have multiple sprayers and they have paid for themselves over and over

I agree with Traditions, practice, practice.
I am sure there are spraying videos out there, but you could watch some one do it all day long and still not learn very much.

I agree with the others. There really is no other way then to practice. It's kind of a feel thing. The more you do it the faster you will pick up the feel for it. As you develop more experience you'll notice that not all materials spray the same, so each time you spray a new material take note of the characteristics and mentally file that away for next time.
