Networking?
Why don't painting contractors network locally? Mabey it is just my area, but are we all afraid of sharing the marketplace?
Not only have I made a couple of good friends from the experiences, but no one can see your business like an outside business owner. Last edited by KENNEDY; 12-21-2006 at 09:51 PM. |

Re: Networking?
We are starting doing that in Toronto.
Three paint contractors, two are members here. www.GTApainters.com

Re: Networking?
I'd be willing to meet for coffee or breakfast down here in the New Orleans 'burbs but I've only seen one other member reference being down here.

Re: Networking?
Yes, exactly my idea and my thoughts...
...why do we not network more? I would be very willing to do so in San Diego. ![]() |

Re: Networking?
In my former career as a P.I., until 5 years ago, we also never networked until the government started trying to regulate us too much, then we banded together and started meeting online and at coffee shops and for lunches. I sure hope that isn't what happens with this industry.

Re: Networking?
Sean, are you coming to the St Louis roundtable? Don Marler told me a local painter was coming, I was wondering if it is you?

Re: Networking?
Its me. I am really looking forward to meeting you guys. I have learned so much from these forums (PT and GS also) I am hoping to be able to contribute back. Talking to Don has been good, I now have someone to pass work on to that is too far out of my range or when we're too busy.
The pressure washing side of the business picked up considerabily last year. Thanks to the sharing of infomation through these sites and other networking, our efficency and quality has really increased. The coming up Roundtable will be my first one and I am glad to see it taking off with the speakers and numbers attending filling up quickly. See you in a month Ken. |
