Need Suggestions On Painting
I'm rehabbing a nice 3/2 house that was lived in over ten years by owners that didn't take very good care of it. Basically, it was a mess inside. I am getting ready to paint the walls and I need some help/suggestions. The walls were very dirty from the floor up to about the four foot level and we have cleaned them with a citrus based cleaner but they still look dirty. I did a test spot painting using Kilz on the lower part and the regular paint on the whole wall,(only one coat) but I'm not real happy with the results. Would you recommend using kilz on the whole wall or do I need to used kilz and two coats of paint? I hadn't planned on using two coats as the color isn't much of a change.
Any help is appreciated. Be nice, I'm not a pro painter. Kenn |
