Need Advice On Spraying. Please Any Suggestions!!!

Hello All I know this has probaly been asked a million times. here is my problem. I am goimg to be spraying some raw pine lumber. What would you folks recommend for a primer and a finish coat of paint. I have been doing a little research and it looks like latex water base is out of the question because I don't want it to be rubbery when cured. I read somewhere that acrylic enamel would be a good choice, I went out and looked in my garage and have a can of paint that reads 100% acrylic latex enamel (is this what I need?) I want something that dries fast and has a good hard finish to it. I want something that is reasonably priced. But it looks like Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams might be the best choice. What do you think of the paints that you get at Menards for like $15 gallon on sale? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
