Nap size paint rollers

For smooth interior painting have always used 3/8 or 1/2 nap.
Then on another post a few said they like the wooster 50/50 3/4" nap.
I know the 3/4 would be good to hold more paint but what about the finish?
Thanks

Finish looks good once you learn how to tame it. Good paint helps also. Never ever had a problem/complaint about the finish or stipple. It lays down a finish comparable to a fine lambs wool roller.

we use almost nothing but 3/4" nap rollers. They hold more, go further and I've never been able to see the differece in the finished appearance.

If you're putting on a satin or semigloss paint I'd probably move down to a 1/2" nap roller.

I have no use for 3/8" nap rollers.

Yeah the finish is fine, if not better than I synth 3/8

There's always some 3/8 in my box, but I don't use them...well I've been using them for throw-aways for touch-ups lately
I got sick of seeing them in there

On drywall, plaster, a 3/4 nap will allow you to void imperfections, dip less often, and if you roll out the paint properly, will show no more stiple than a smaller nap. With a semi oil on doors or trim, I would recommend a mohair 1/4 nap, which if rolled out with the proper amount of paint on the surface, will mimick a spray finish.
