Moisture Meter

Anyone know where I can get a typical moisture meter with pins that is not digital? I'm looking for the type that has the meter with red/yellow/green. Not the cheapo ones....

Last time I knew, they were about $100 or so.

Thanks

Please, please, please.....

Do yourself a financial favor and go to Amazon.....and do a search for one.

There are MANY models on there for under $100.00

Just used mine last week on a basement remodeling job...

Do you like it better than your nail gun? I've never seen a moisture meter that will shoot nails.

...actually, what happened was that the HO is acting as the GC for this job. He had water issues for years in the basement. Things finally went haywire and he had a drainage system put in all around the basement perimeter with a sump pump.

Anyhow, he wants us to put in a laminate floor too. He went to the flooring store and they made a 'big issue' about the moisture in the basement...the concrete floor, how he needs to wait and make sure that everything is properly dried out. (I understand and agree with all this), but...They made him nervous...trying to sound real technical to him ...why?....(Because they were trying to get the installation work instead of us)
Well, I got my moisture meter out and had him walk around with me and read the meter for himself as I put it on various areas of the concrete and on the new and old wood studs down there. Everything was bone dry! ...

Needless to say, he gave the install job to us....
