Lets check ballparks!!!

Hi Ya'll,

Here is the thing. I am wanting to run a paint network diagnostic on a paint job I am going to be doing next week. It is a small job, but it is for a big name in the real estate development world. I already have the job, but want to know what others may have charged to see where I am. If I am fair or far out.

Stucco wall consisting of 130sf.
hair line cracks must be repaired. (I am using brush grade elastomeric)
I am going to spray two coats BenMoore waterproof highbuild.
Tile floor butts up to the stucco wall on half of the sf.
A few plants must be kept clean as well as the stone cap on top of the stucco wall.

what would be a charge since it is a two trip project because of the cleaning the first day.

Sounds like a retaining wall or something, so just going off pure sq and your description.... about 960.00. Including paint.

When someone asks me for a ballpark, I tell them I think Yankee Stadium is nice!

I would say probably the $800 range for one man two days, materials and all.

I usually use the most recent one I priced- which is currently sitting at around $160 million for 28,000 seats......lol. Of course, the new Yankees stadium is likely more in the $600 million range, though I haven't been paying much attention to that one- I was too floored by the $998 million contract to build the new Giants/Jets stadium......

Sorry, I don't build ballparks.

Seriously, maybe between $800-$900.

It is a L shaped four foot high stucco wall near the entry way. To get more light on the subject I will go with AA since he lives in the same city. This project is located in Eagle Harbor in The Preserve area if that helps a bit Adam.

With a top stone, ya.. thats why I said 960... will have to protect the white stone and watch your "dusting" on the corners... the "half tile" gave that part away. I am two hours from both of ya. Though I did figure it at 10 foot high 13 long... at four feet the top cap may not have to be so protected.

Edit - Meaning that at 10 feet high you have WAY more dusting from a sprayer than at eye level or below... even the best spraymen will dust a window on accident above 8 feet.

Yup, I would say $800 or there abouts because it isn't really two full days either, but it will tie you up enough on both days you can't get anything else done. Just checked my hourly...this would be about $764 just in labor, so prolly about $875 with materials.

I am Babe Ruth and everyone else is the ball.

Remember that job for the wall outside a entry way I was going to paint in a upscale area of my town? ::EEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRNK:: He took time to think about the price and changed his mind. He said it is not justified to charge $500, which was the low figure I charged him to do it. I told him about the prices you guys gave me and he was wandering what everyone was smoking!!! lol Oh well. I should know better than to get involved with the rich. Just when you think you have them persuaded to do things the right way they go South of the border on you... whose with me on enforcing that line?

That's two days labour, setup, take down, clean up at end of both days. Wouldn't shed a tear over that one.
