Ya, from what I've been reading solvents are best to clean knots, but do you think anything is better than the other? What about acetone intead of xlyol?

How many knots are there? At some point it becomes more costly to try and kill them than it is to just replace the wood.

Sherry Have you forgot what we used on Glenora....None of the conventional products work ....none of them. What I finally found that works is carpenters glue. Use the brown exterior glue layer it on the knot let it dry and no more knots bleeding through...none. Good to know you are still painting.
