Just found this on Craigslist
this is nice and all but he might have just thru out his luck adding
in some talk (rarely, minimal, etc. ) joker........
I'm a college student who has worked for their fathers construction company since I could hold a hammer. I'm free on weekends and Fridays to do interior painting. You pick the color and tell me which wall and it'll be done. I'm very neat and clean and have minimal splashing and rarely have runs.
E-mail if interested. Cheap prices just looking to make some money on the side. Thanks,
Mike

Hey Bone Saw / Chris,
Can you PM me please or answer it here but how did you get your website URL's to show up with just the word "Work" or "Play"? I've tried some HTML coding to try and get it to happen for mine but it won't happen. I just wanted my URL to show up as my company name, underlined in blue is fine but if there are other color options, let me know that too. Thanks in advance.

I do that but when I hit enter, it just puts the URL that I had just typed into the signature. It does not give me an option to have it show up as some other wording.
Hmmmm... something I see that might be affecting this is listed under the "Posting Rules" which is down at the bottom of the page below the Quick Reply box. Here is what mine says and I wonder if I need to turn on the HTML code.

Worse part about it is, charging 1/3 my rate he would still put more coin in his pocket then I would.

I did it verbatim and all I ended up with is "Work" added to my URL.
I never could find a place to change that HTML setting to ON. What does your settings say?
Sorry for partially hijacking this thread.

To get a link in your signature that doesn't say "www.xyzURL" it takes three simple steps.
1) Type the word you want to appear in your signature line in your case "work"
2) Highlight the word by left clicking on it
3) Click the icon that looks like a chain link and type in your desired URL in the box that pops up

Thanks to both of you. I went straight to Ken's method and it worked perfectly... at least it looked right on the "Edit Signature" page. Here goes to see if it works. Now I just need to get back to work on building my website.

That's your pop-up blocker. It should say "click here to allow". Click the allow and then repeat choosing the "insert link" icon. Prior to clicking the "insert link" icon, you want to highlight the "word or words" that you want the link to become. Then while they are still highlighted, click the "insert link" icon, type in your URL and hit enter. Those highligted words now become the actual link.
See my company name in my sig as well as the many others who have done this. I also just used this on another forum that has completely different forum software and it worked on that one too. Seems like the universal way to do this.
