Hey forgot to add to my other post.. What else are some good sites that people use to buy their supplies from? I like this site mentioned above, and I also buy a lot of stuff on ebay too.

I am not sure where is a good place to buy the blue painters tape, but I bought 2 cases on ebay. 24 rolls of the 1" tape and 12 rolls of the 2" tape for masking stuff up. I think it came out to around 1.70 per roll. I am needing some good masking paper, any suggestions?

that's funny. hechinger used to be a box store here in the mid-atlantic before home depot and lowes came into existence. every now and then i run into some parts from a hechinger in a house i am working on. i even ran into an abandonded store of theirs that has been vacant for probably 20 years a few days ago.

Not sure if I'm stealing someones thunder but....

The only 'tan' tape I know of (and use) is masking tape. I keep some around for general stuff, but not for actually painting. I keep fully stocked with 'medium tack' and 'low tack' blue painters tape at all times. I have learned the hard way to use the low tack on almost everything that has already been painted and on poly or lacquer.

I use to use the tan colored masking tape for most everything. It would normally not cause a problem, but like the other guy said.. I learned the hard way that the tape can pull off paint on trim and stuff like that. Its a pain in the a** when I am painting an accent wall and the tape I use as a guideline peels off part of the paint on the other wall. Blue tape for me now on.
