Welcome! I've seen your posts and have wondered why you haven't been more active. To each their own. We don't bite, often.

Re: Introduction
Hi aspenpainting
Welcome As for your question, if you've been doing OK then you are getting the idea You can use the search button to look for estimate and bidding help for additional info What it really comes down to is you need to figure your costs and production rates then add any fudge factors or PITA charges and add a little profit to get the final charge What the other guys charge is really not as important as you might think For example, you probably can't charge as little as an unlicensed, un-insured, no-overhead guy, but really shouldn't be charging as much as a 20 year quality pro In between, there's no magic number If you gave me the specs, and I gave you what I would charge, that really wouldn't help you Really, I'm not trying to be a jerk, you're costs and time could be way different than mine What I would charge is pretty much irrelevant That being said, if you really want to get an idea of something you are not familiar with, try one of the estimator books/programs Please keep in mind they do not include everything involved in a project, they don't take Fudge Factors or PITA charges into account They are not based on your costs and production rates, and the regional adjustments (from -30% to + 100%) can be way off Not to mention sometimes they are just plain wrong Do a search on Estimating Books or Software or Nat Est, National Estimator, and such You'll find that some of us may refer to them as tool Like for something we don't run across often, or check our math, make sure we didn't forget something, or see if we are way off in another way If you would like comments on what others would charge for such a project, you'll have to post up more info
