Industrial Work

I have a company that wants some rooftop air handling units painted. Currently they have a powdercoated finish on them. The architect wants them painted a different color. Looking at a product from Sherwin Williams that is called Hydorgloss from there industrial line. Plan is to just scuff the surface up and spray the units. There are a bunch of decals to mask off (saftey decals etc.) and we will be spraying these in a crane yard. My question is that I think my price may be to high. These units have from 450 sq.ft to 650 sq.ft of surface area to paint. For prep and paint I am coming at around $2.50 per sq.ft. Could you guys give me some feedback?

Thanks
Gary lee

Feedback: My experience with architects is that they want achitectural grade work but don't want to pay for it. They seem to be among the group of people who demand extras for free, "just because".

Don't get drawn in. lol, drawn in. Your price seems reasonable.

Re: Industrial Work

I agree, good (cheap) price, you don't have to do much prep with the powder coat and the paint you've chosen.
