Ladybiz hit the nail right on the head. Most homeowners, in my opinion, don't want to take the time, mainly because it would take at least twice the time I would take to do the job. The question is, "How much time would it have taken you to do the job?", and then, "What is your time worth?. Years ago I painted for an ederly lady who was suprised at how quickly I painted her ceilings. In the past she had done her own ceilings, using only a brush! No lie! If I did the job in 4 hours, and it took her several days, I would say I was well worth the money. Painting is easy if you know what you are doing, and to the uneducated masses, well, their perception is that it was too easy for their money. They fail to realize the things that lie in the background,ie. overhead, their possible mistakes, and the time they could be out playing instead of working on their painting (efficiency).
