How Many Painters?
Hi all . just curious do any of you know or have a good idea of how may painters or paint contractors there are in this country. I took a look at just S.W I have been told they average 300 contractors per store across the country and have 2000 stores = 600,000 . there must be maybe 2 million painters/contractors in the county , with all the other smaller paint stores.
Does anyone have a real estamate from a data bank that is close to acurate? Just curious |

Anyone can paint, so I'd guess 300 million.
 People who get paid for painting-- 2 million is probably low. Again, anyone can paint. Just as anyone can paint, almost anyone can open an SW account.
