How To "get In" With Commercial Accounts
Hey guys I am pretty young (only about 5 years in the industry) and I am just curious as to how painters get in with property management companies. I would like to start getting into HOA's as well as office buildings. I have researched different property management companies and tried to reach out to them by sending them letters with information about our company and how we offer dependable painting and power washing services. I sent the letters on nice resume paper along with high end envelopes and a business card. I didn't get one response from about 50 letters sent out. I am just wondering, is this the best way to go about getting these larger jobs? I am looking to start getting much bigger jobs that are more consistant. Can anyone give me any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

keep trying, find smaller prop. management companies...spread em all throughout your area far and wide
most Management Companies I know of care mostly if you are "INSURED" Good Luck |

Re: How To "get In" With Commercial Accounts
I tried the letter thing a few years back, I sent out over a 100. I didn't get one response. I have a few now and I did it by networking. Go to Lowes and HD and talk to the pro desk guys, get some names from them and call them.

Re: How To "get In" With Commercial Accounts
The best way to get your foot in the door is by being in the right place at the right time. You need to be there when they get in a bind and need something right now! Keep dropping by on occasion so they will know your face and your name. Eventually it will pay off. You might drop by for a year before you get the first call, but once you get that first call it's on!
