Well, I didn't see the mention of Floetrol, but yeah, I suppose that would help-you shouldn't need it though really
Don't use it myself
But if your cut is drying out...

However
If it's not flat paint, it's always cut one wall then roll it before it dries
Flat it doesn't seem to matter as much
But if your having problems with Picture Framing, maybe you should do both (cut'n'roll one wall at a time and add some floetrol) and see what/if that/either works for you

Roll it as close as you can, hey maybe even wienie-roll the edge
Those little hot dogs can get pretty close
It'll bite into your production rates though...just a thought, might be worth a try

Re: How To Avoid "framing"?

First off you are paying too much for paint iof you are using classic 99. The pro mar 200 is one of the best paints around and it is actually on par with superpaint. Classic 99 is the same as pro mar 400. 200 pro mar is superpaint without the consumer 25 year warranty and its only $16 dollars a gallon give or take depending on your volume.

What you all are calling picture framing, is referred to by some as hat banding. Me thinks it's a lot to do about nothing...

You're right. I was in at the local SW store today and we had a long talk about the Promar line vs. the retail line. Very interesting converation indeed!!

He basically told me what you just wrote. I can get the 200 for about $20 gallon and 400 for around $17. No-brainer if you ask me. Thanks for the info.
