Take that same money, buy a mailing list in upscale neighborhoods and introduce yourself with a full color postcard. One good client will pay for your investment and they're not on the cheap.

HD..does Framing on new construction here...for all the track builders ...they do it through there HD Supply Lumber Co....and their work is the shottiest you could imagine ...all illegal sub-contractors...and these guy's are getting 3.50-3.85 a sqft for framing labor ...

I lost 5 jobs from a good customer that I have supplied 8 homes their material...1900-2000 sqft homes ..cookie cutter ...I did all the take offs..and HD'S "salesman"...ask for the material lists ..cust. gives it to them....my quote for material avg...18000.00-20000.00 windows and doors included...Mw dbl hung...F.G. exterior doors...

I see slabs poured ..I call builder .."when you want to ship"...he states .."nothing personal ..you do a great job ..how ever HD is doing the the project for 20000.00 turnkey ..framing windows and doors and labor "...I say "no f-ing way that is not even feasiable"..

Now ...Hd installed generic sgl hung vinyl wdws no jamb extensions ...Stanley steel doors with utility grade skins...these are supposed to be 300,000.00 homes

That is how they lowball and get the business here ...they do not give all the info..and then when the crap hits the fan ...."you rec'd what we quoted you"..

In my builders defense ..he does not pay attention to the "right " details ..only looks at the total price...will not hire a project manager because he is to cheap and thinks he can do everything himself..

Sorry for the rant ...I HATE HOME DEPOT...they are the reason people like the pro's and suppliers on here cant make the money they need to make on projects ...because now everyone ..even some so called builders will say ...."BUT AT HOME DEPOT IT THIS"..well go to HD ...
