High Work And Picture Frames

This is my rant. Lady today says my bid was to high, she asked if I would do all the high work ( 30 ft And the wall is 25 ft wide) and her husband and her would do all the low. I've bee painting for 28yrs. The people never seem to amaze me, that is scraping,T-11 siding, light sand, Brush one coat oil primer, Brush 2 coats latex for finish. It is a west wall and in bad shape. She asked if I would do it for 1000.00 she would make payments or we could trade out ,she does picture framing for a living, thats alot of pictures. Hope I didn't bore you ? By the way my bid was for 1700.00, that is roughly 2.25 a sq ft. Just had to vent. There is always tommorrow.

Re: High Work And Picture Frames

I get people that ask the same thing every now n then. Wanting me to "just do the high stuff".

Never done it...but if I ever did, they'd need to take out a 2nd mortgage to pay me for it.

Money's money though...just the principal of it, IMO
