Help With Spraying Trim....

Hello out there,

I've started trimming a house and b/c of the economy, I have chosen to finish the painting portion of the house to keep myself 'busy'. My experience in spraying is middle of the road...I have sprayed a few larger projects and cabinets during remodels. My question is having sprayed a few times and using the right equipment, I have noticed that the latex primer and finish coats tend to stay tacky for some time, Is there an additive to harden or dry out the finish? Should I change to a different product? Help and thanks in advance to any answers. I will respond should you have any for me.

Re: Help With Spraying Trim....

I would certainly recommend a professional painter to spray a trim package. That is unless you plan on sanding runs out of the paint and re-painting. As for dry times a dehumidifier will speed things up. Oh yeah, turn the heat up!
