HELP! How To Get Two Paint Drops Out Of A Canvas Windowshade

OK, i got two drops of paint on a very nice canvas pull-down blind. The paint is P&L Accolade Velvet, medium toned green. It was dry by the time I saw it. They won't scrape off. Any suggestions as to getting them out? If it calls for professional cleaning, what kind of cleaning is needed? Thanks!:

Did you try water and a soft cloth?

Maybe (gulp!) some Goof-Off. Try in a small inconspicuous spot first.

The longer its there, the harder it will be to get off.

Most paints take 48 hrs, to 'cure'. Keep it wet and it should come off with a little brush (toothbrush) work and dish detergent.

Note to self, all canvas below painting should be kept wet! A cheap sprinkler can accomplish this.

If it won't scrape off, try Oops! or Goof Off

Yeah I'd test it first, it may affect the color of the blind

Wait....before you try goof off, try a little bit of EZ Brush Cleaner. This works very good to clean up latex and even small oil spills. It doesn't usually cause a problem like washing out colors and stuff. You can even dilute it a little with water and try it that way first just to be sure. It's a very mild solvent that works very good. We use it on hinges and things like that if they get bumped or something.

Hand Cleaner works!

Yes, especially nice is that new dynamic orange smelling stuff with pumus in it, rub that on, then rinse / dab with wet water. (comes in sqeeze bottle, like hand cream or shampoo type thing)

I actually have been able to romove oil paint from clothing with this stuff. (Time is definately of the essence as with any spills).

I don't find this as harsh as other cleaners with the chemicals and such.

Re: HELP! How To Get Two Paint Drops Out Of A Canvas Windowshade

Well, here I am, posting back, sort of. Unfortunately this happened on Friday, which means 48 hours have come and gone. The job resumes tomorrow (Monday) and the client is already aware of it. I didn't want to go the Goof Off/Oops! route because sometimes that makes a bad situation even worse (like if it leaves a water mark or similar discoloration or the fabric gets scuffed up from excessive scrubbing). What about (literally) boiling water dipped onto a Q-tip and a little hand cleaner? Or steam cleaning?
Thanks for all the replies, will check back again.

Canvas... use some orange hand cleaner from the local car parts store and hot water.... you'll be fine.
