Has anyone tried the Rejuv-A-Roller?

I saw someone post a link here for the Rejuv-A-Roller.

http://www.rejuv-a-roller.com/

My first reaction was, "thats stupid" but after watching the video, now I'm think it would be really since I always clean out my rollers.

The very few reviews I read gave it 5 out 5 stars but thats from DIY folks.

But I'm looking for a fellow painter's opinion on it.

Never used it or cared to try, but after watching the video I must say I'm a tid bit interested now. What I would really like to know though is how to get a nap off the frame as easy as that lady did?

Ya I know,

Thats why I was thinking of Painterman's Roller the Wooster Big Ted that he cut up.

Or the Not Cage Roller Covers people were talking about. Those should be easy to get off.

They were all talking about them in this thread:

wow... I have the one that needs to have the cage attached, still haven't tried it. I like the fact that the roller gets put in alone..

actually looks pretty decent--

I mean the naps I just bought ran $3.50 and those were just decent ones. Imagine a big job with primers, ceiling paint, wall paint, etc...say 10 products/colors--$3.50 vs $35.00---I'm considering purchasing one--

I wonder how the nap will hold up throughout a whole job though. Also, I would hope it works from an outside spicket too.

Ya I'm hoping it works with an outside sprinker.

I'm sure if it doesn't you could get an adaptor from the home depot, or lowes.

Think about it, do that, spin it dry, you can use one roller for your whole job.

Now I'm wanting to find a good synethic that feels like lambskin (I used lambskin cause it cleaned easy, but with this I think a synethic would actually last longer).

Man you will not stop praising those roller covers.

I thought the 50/50 was 50% nylon, 50% polyester.

But I just googled it and its lambskin and polyster. Pretty interesting, and pretty cheap I'll have to buy one soon.

If someone actually orders one of these, I'd be interested in hearing how it actually worked out, compared to the video... A couple of references from people here, might just convince me to buy one.

He's right on about the 50/50 naps. I haven't tried the wooster, but SW has a similar version and they work great.

You know whats really werid though, Wooster rates their Lambskins and 50/50s for only flat and satins.

I know thats not the case cause I'm sure PWG uses them on Gloss, and Semigloss. right PWG?

And then their Wool cover is rated for all Sheens.

Has anyone tried one of the all sheen rollers on this website that they can suggest?
http://www.woosterbrush.com/products.asp?id=191

I want to get a 50/50 and one of their all sheen rollers and take it for a test run to see which one I would like.

We have one. Right after we got it, we had a large painting job with a moderate number of colors, so it got a workout most days.

Our thoughts:

It uses a lot of water, but so does cleaning rollers by hand.

It works a lot faster if you scrape as much excess paint off the roller as possible before inserting it in the tube and rinse the inside of the roller.

It comes ready to attach to a garden hose. It also comes with an adaptor for a kitchen faucet, but it is plastic and easily damaged. We've replaced our adaptor with a metal one (so that we can mess up the faucet instead. )

It won't do rollers longer than 9 inches.

All in all, we're pleased with its performance. Cleaning rollers is not on our list of favorite tasks and this makes it a little quicker and less of a PITA.

We have not had an opportunity to try it on naps greater than 3/8 inches yet. There is a sleeve that you remove to allow these "fluffier" roller covers to be cleaned.

Thanks. Now if Bman will post the name of his, I'll be happy to do the Googling. I tried Googling the generic terms but there are just too many web pages talking about paint roller covers.
