Just curious if anyone has used H&C Shield Crete Epoxy for garage floors?

I have done it, but I dont give a warranty on it. I have had a few people who do floors for a living tell me it isnt that great.

It's virtually identical to the Rustoleum product you see in most stores. There is a solvent based and waterbased version of it though. Solvent based is definitely the better of the two but neither is all that great. If you want epoxy go for an industrial two part floor coating. There are a lot of good high solids urethanes out there as well.

Re: H&C Shield Crete Epoxy

Has anyone used Tile Clad HS from Sherwin Williams to do garage floors? Or any other companies products? I'm trying to get started doing garage floors but not sure what product to start using. Any help would be great.

The Armor Seal doesn't need a clear coat. It has a high build sheen and you can buff wax the floor and strip that when you need to perk up the appearance.

I've used epoxy-coat on two garages so far. Prep work is key.

What about decorative flakes? Can you use the ones from Home Depot with Armorseal, and do you not recommend? Do you always put a clear coat on with the flakes?

Flakes do require a clear coat.

As far as chip colors go, you can find whatever you could possibly ever need HERE <---click on that

Not that company specifically, but paint chips are paint ships no matter where you get them.

H&C is ok... their statement that acid etching is not required is a lie. I wouldnt lay one without doing it first.

Armor Seal Stinks I have used it for garage floor applications both without clear and with clear. in both instances the paint turns a brown yellow every spot the tires are parked. AND IT WONT COME OUT.

It takes over 2 months to full cure until this stops happening.. then a short time after that it yellows.
