Graco Magnum Project 5 Or Titan 440i?

Hi everyone. I am about to buy a new paint sprayer - I would use for finishing small rooms, few times a week. I was thinking about buying Graco Magnum Project 5 or Titan 440i, but I can't decide (I haven't found any reviews/opinions of Magnum 5). Which one is worth buying? Thanks

If you are going to use an airless "a few times a week" the Titan would be the smallest to consider.

What part of the country are you in. I service several smaller chains and one big one around the country and may be able to point you towards a deal.

Graco makes good commercial paint sprayers. The one you mentioned is for the casual user or home owner, not someone that needs to make a living with it.

Look at your local paint store. Find out who/where services which. Having a rig breakdown or need parts and having to wait for UPS is not good!
I have 2 440i's and love them, you can get points for free tips and stuff.

Out of those choices i say go with the Titan 440i, great entry level sprayer that if taken care of will serve you for many years to come.

A Magnum 5 will do, I have one in my garage which has come in very handy.
However a Titan440i has parts available in most paint stores whereas you must order the Magnum parts.

Thanks for you help guys. I went to Home Depot today and unfortunately they didn't have 440i in stock. However they suggested me buying Titan XT440 (it is "weaker" 440i). What do you think about it? Any opinions. Thanks

Just for giggles, walk over to the tool rental center in the HD and ask if they have a sprayer for sale. They have 540's and a used one should be in your price range. Have them either rebuild the pump or provide a kit. I'll bet they would do it.

It is an order of magnitude sturdier machine than either you are considering. It will do about 3k gallons before you need to repack it and is as reliable as a stone doorstop.

Pass on the scaled down titan. I agree with the post about going used. You can buy a good used 440i for like 4 bills, buy a repack kit for 25-40 and you are set. That scaled down titan will not hold up like a professional unit.

I use 440is and have had 3 in rotation for about 5 years. Awesome. Do not buy the HD version though, they are cheapo crap versions with plastic parts.

Magnum's 440i

Do yourself a favor though. Buy a sprayer from a paint store that can service the sprayer and help you when you need it.

Think you can get a brand new 440i for around 6oo and some change check SWP.
