Mom likes it! I never told her that I used BM the last time that I painted her place.

It's the cheap way out
The better paints will help you paint better
It'll go faster, you can push it harder, and will look better, and make you more money
Open an account at a BM or SW store

Re: Glidden

Sears is made by SW as is a handful of others. I agree with the other post get an account at a BM or SW store. If your Ace store carries P&L try that. If you like glidden which is made by ICI they may have company store in your area. There are serveral ICI stores in the Chicago area. There top of the line is Dulux. Glidden is only really in Home Depot in the Chicago area.

Good luck, but good paint will make your painting life easier

Re: Glidden

you have a ppg? as in pitsburgh and porter paints?
Get set up there they have some quality paints. The thing about buying from a paint store, (is as you should allready know) is that they can offer you a better price, contractor price. The local walmart or sears usually have one price, home owner price. I am currently buying all my paint from pittsburgh, they just have a good mix of quality and price, before that i was using BM.

Re: Glidden

Glidden's line is ICI. Spectrum stores carry it. Home depot used to carry Glidden, but they trashed their name to make the price point set by HD. ICI makes a decent ext satin, but their flat sucks.

I'd agree with the advice you've already gotten. Set up an acct at a SW or BM store. BM makes great paint. SW is well known and their reputation will keep your customers happy.
