Fed up with residential

Wow... today was the day ... customer from hell ....

she complains about every single thing we do!

i mean every every thing! She's always there, she doesnt leave!

We cannot use bathrooms!, she turns the water off all the time (we have to ask her when we want to use water)

contract states 1/3 1/3 and 1/3 payment.... they dont want to give me anymoney at all until its all completed! what BS! finally, they gave me half of the 2nd payment

We cannot work in peace! She wants to work in her order not hers!

She wants additional services done, and not wanting to pay for it.

Plan of attack,

i need to get the heck out of there badly! I will complete the work according to my contract! i want to completely ignore her and do what i have to do, not giving into her everytime. Wise idea or should at least communicate with her a bit? ohhh i must say, she hardly speaks english! shes greek!

HELL HELL HELL ! NEVER MET UP WITH 1 LIKE THIS!

PLEASE ADVISE!

Is she is also old with nothing better to do except complain about the rain?

Figure out a way to get on her good side.

Complement her on her herb garden or something and try and strike up a conversation about a subject she thinks you have in common.

Or, point to the termination clause in the contract and quit.

I've had her before
There's not much you can do except finish as quick as possible
I've actually brought in "helpers" to run interference so I can complete jobs
They keep the problem busy while work gets done
I'd like to say ignore her and get the job done, but that often makes things worse with these
Best to kill them with kindness

I try to weed these out early, but they still get by

You could try telling her that you are Turkish...... no that wouldn't help.

Just keep telling yourself that some day you will look back at this this and laugh!

Once you are done she will love it and tell all her friends to call you!

We all have had someone like this at some point in time. Just grin and bear it, the end can't be that far away.

I had one like that recently. Got it over and done with. Phonecall about 3 days later. Aparently, I accidently cut her phone line. I did cut the phone line, but I swear to God it was an accident. I honestly never wanted to see her again for the rest of my life. Too bad I also had to have a goof-up like that on her job. Sometimes, you just can't win. Oh well... I'm over it. It was an easy 5 minute fix, and now I'm nearly assured to never see her again.

Bring her flowers and candy everyday until he job is done. Once the final check clears determine if you want to do work for her friends and family. If you want to minimize the change of any referrals call her and tell her what you did to/on/in the flowers and candy.

I'm new here, but jeez... 13 replies before somebody said it?

Being "difficult" is one thing. Not paying according to schedule is quite another.
