Re: Faux Finish And Venitian

Still too many variables. Venetion is a multi step process and involves plastering the walls, then applying stain.

Faux is a very broad term. Any ideas on what type of faux? I would charge substanially more for venetian, but I'm not a plaster-er.

Re: Faux Finish And Venitian

Like everything else with paint, depends on your location in the country. Faux ranges from $3-4 a sq ft up to $8-$10 as an average. Venetian plaster depends on wether its synthetic or do they want the real lime. All the krap in most stores is syn. which is a modified paint. Never heard of staining on top except to create a different look and would charge more!! VP usually starts at about $8 sq ft and goes up to $15 depending on area.
