Exterior striping

What proceedures or products has anyone used for striping paint from a brick house? The home has multiple layers of paint flaking and peeling bad on one side due to lack of prep from last painter. The brick is a non textured brick in need of tuck pointing (so no water blasting-low pressure mabey). Also the home is to be primed and repainted. My concern is that if just scraped and repainted, the rest of the old paint will fail eventually. There is mildew between the layers of paint that was never removed prior to the last topcoat of a cheap flat paint. Any ideas?
Thanks,

Thanks,

Google dumond chemical. We use their Peel Away for exterior lead abatement. They also have strippers that you can apply with an airless. We have taken off three layers of latex piled on oil with stuff that isn't super caustic it just has a very long dwell time. Be prepared for incredible amounts of cleanup and price accordingly. Paint and all coatings are sacrificial. If the coating is in advanced failure your new topcoats are not going to last.

I've used Peel Away on large jobs (never on brick though). It's a long process, and alot of clean up, but works great.

Thanks for the replys. I have used Peel Away before also, but it never seems to "peel" away all that well. The biggest problem is that the 2 bad sides are over a stamped concrete patio and the driveway. Rinsing to neutralize is going to be a mess.

I would think something like Bix would work better on brick. I sprayed it on a brick interior & it worked well. Took me a day to do a 10 x 8 wall. Not sure how it would go on an exterior though. I would think it would be ALOT of work.
