Exterior Painting Estimates

I am painter who has done alot work in Florida. I just moved to the north and I am starting to get referrals for exterior work. It is a little different painting old 2 and 3 story colonials. Any suggestions on pricing and painting older buildings with siding. Is it better to use scaffolding or ladder? How to price scrapping? and washing? painting? these type of homes

Re: Exterior Painting Estimates

The main thing to understand about bidding is your cost. Materials, Transportation, Labor, and Taxes. After that you just need to decide how much money in your pocket you need for it to be worth doing the job and how much would be ideal. Start closer to ideal, and if you can't negotiate a price above your need price then don't do it.

Ladders and scaffolding are ideal in different situations...mainly the amount of time you will be in one spot decides. The other prices come the same way.
