Exterior Paint Pricing
Hey guys how's it going. Question & explanation;
I recently bid a decent size exterior job. This is really our 1st commercial exterior bid. We have done large comm. before but all interior new construction. I just want to make sure we didn't charge, you know, arm, leg and face. The job is to paint 4 buildings. Roughly 12340 sq ft of surface area. 3 of the buildings are med-deep stucco with wood overhangs. And the other is a 3 door, masonry garage. The height for all is around 14-16ft. The owners want to use elastomeric paint which out here is currently $120 for a 5 for behr. 2 of the buildings have substantial stucco patch work and old sign glue removal. And aside from prep they would like each building to be painted in 1 day. Oh and they want to paint all buldings top white and bottom red. The color now is orange. If any of you have time to run some #'s I would really appreciate it. Thanks alot. |

Re: Exterior Paint Pricing
They want each one painted in 1 day (orange to white = min. 2 coats) AND you have to use Behr paint?
I'd guess they don't have enough money for me to do it...so I wouldn't waste my time bidding. |

Re: Exterior Paint Pricing
Thanks for that Steve. It makes me feel a little better. I kind of get the impression that these folk want "the best quality for the cheapest price". I am glad I did not skimp on the estimate.
