Question

Enamel Over Acrylic

Just wanted to repaint a picnic table of ours. The table was painted with 100% Acrylic but is a gross looking color. I bought some Latex enamel and started going over it but it isn't looking like it wants to stick. Can Enamel go over Acrylic?

Re: Enamel Over Acrylic

Sure can. Better would be a solid stain for the table.

Re: Enamel Over Acrylic

Thanks,

I think that was the problem. The acrylic was a stain and the latex enamel I got is a paint. The acrylic is one day old. The wife went and got a solid stain a few minutes ago and it's covering just fine. Had no idea paint was so touchy!

Thats why I hire out the paint
