$25.49 per gallon. Coverage is the same as normal. We found that you need to paint the second coat "wet" or you get banding. Touch-up takes a couple of days to blend in but when it does you can't see the touched up area-- Great stuff IMO

$30.99 is what I was just quoted the other day for it....see what you get when you're a new business with low volume.
Is it just me or does everyone feel like they're dealing with a car salesman when they purchase paint?

We have got some of our best prices in paint by pitting Hallmann Lindsay salespeople and SW salespeople against eachother. We have had sit downs with salespeople from both companies. If they are going to act like used car salesman treat them as such.

I was qouted $30 a gallon too. I've heard it's good stuff. But I can get Valspar Signiture for $23. The Signiture paint is a very good paint as well. Not sure I'm comfortable with an additional $7 a gallon no matter how "durable/washable" the paint is. I looked at a sample in the store and it has an eggshell finish, thus its scrub ability factor

Duration Home
Hello everyone, I haven't posted before but have been lurking, I really do enjoy this site. Been in business 10 years, specalizing in interiors, wallpaper and some faux work.
I have a great S/W rep., took 2 account changes to get to this point.
Duration Home is an excellant product. I was quoted $23.00 a gallon, however the rep was told by his boss that it was incorrect. My rep. stood his ground and I continue to have this price honored, I expect a change when the next price increase happens.
The issue with having to wait for touch ups to blend contiunes to baffle me since I have not experienced this. I have used serveral colors (nothing dark) mostly light tans, greens, lavender and white. I have taken a red crayon to a wall painted white that had been painted 48 hours and it cleaned up perfectly. I've made a drywall sample board and have tried crayon, ink pen and magic marker. All removed easily although the ink pen left an impression but no ink. On my current job we were re-installing a stair hand rail that had been stained in cherry, the rail scuffed the wall leaving a redish mark, it came of as well.

I was quoted $25.00. I have not used this yet as most of my clients prefer satin finishes, wich clean anyway so I've been using Cashmere and Superpaint. I just bid a size commercial job and I scoped Duration Home, but don't know if I will get the job, and I think they want to beat me down on the price so I don't know if I will get to use this. Sooner or later I will run into a job where washable flat is required and I will try this product as I have only heard great things.

Trey,
This is really not a flat finish. There are two finishes avaiable, Matte and semi gloss, the matt has a sheen to it.
This paint has good hide and coverage and is a dream to work with.

Exterior Duration is $38.49 a gallon for us- Flat or Semi- We get a great price break due to our buying in bulk quanites. We spend up to $100 k a year at our store. My BM rep is dying for me return to them, but they just don't have great products to use IMO

If you have used Ben Moore- Moorglo(for semi-gloss) in my opinion, beats the heck out of Duration. I used Duration (Satin) on five different exteror jobs (trim and siding) last year and it was such a thick paint that all of my men complained about it. I painted with them and they were right about it. I think it's over-priced and not as easy to work with as Moorglo at $28 per gallon.

Duration is MEANT to go on twice as thick as normal coatings, and this is part of why it has a lifetime guarantee. Moorglo is watery and doesn't hide half as well, IMHO and I've used a TON of it. None of BM paints cover worth a squat. Their oil line, I absolutely love, but in latex SW has em beat hands down. Also, in application, I tend to notice that duration flows like silk from my brush. It's got the smoothest feel of any paint I've ever used....I just don't get the "thick" part because it's so smooth and silky to apply.
