Is there a texture?
How high is the ceiling?
Are you doing or going to be doing other work there?

Just the repair? If so, around $350 give or take. (That's if your confident that the repair will look close to flawless.)

Re: Drywall Repair Rates

If its a small room, and you have to repaint the ceiling (probably the whole ceiling) that sounds reasonable.

Would probably bed with speed mud, if the top coat will show seperate.

Notice they are putting throwaway vents on some of the newer homes now. Have seem the boots break apart in < 2 yrs.
