Got my wall finished, and was hanging some neat shelf brackets.......when I was checking the last one it pops out and.....well you can see! Not like at work when I can hollar at the idiot electrician or the dam tile guy! lol

It's a high gloss industrial coating.... Just painted one wall with it. I will touch it up and take the same pic.....we will see.

Glad you asked about the touchup, got me off my lazy butt and touch the spot up....

Ok give it a hour or 2 and I will snap the same pic.

The touchup myth is just a wives tale.......If it's painted right and done right it will touchup. I experimented with that wall....

I cut it in, and rolled one coat. Then I cut in the whole wall and rolled one side of the door, letting the whole thing dry. Then after it was dry I rolled the other side tight, and you can't tell which side was done which way.

As for the touchup spot, I will give in a little longer to dry.....but you can't see the touchup at all! Still see the gouge, but not the paint. I didn't think the scratch was that deep, plus couldn't find any spackle.

I will take some closeup pics after I reheat me sum pizza!

Can't find anything to patch it with so it's gonna be tommorrow when I get home. I could use caulk like an idiot, so you can still see it......or I can wait till tommorrow and get the right stuff.

just put something on the shelf in front of the spot and call it done.
Atleast it isnt red, nothing is harded to touch up on a wall then a glossy red IMO.

Haven't forgot this thread....

Just got some spackle, and got a coat on the little scratch. It's easier to patch a gouge or big spot, rather than a tiny little scratch.....plus I am not the best drywall repairer guy.....

Gonna let this dry and sand it up, then coat it......then we will see if it is hidden good enough for the average homeowner.

You might also get yourself a can of Homax spray texture and blend the patch in with the existing texture.

Was thinking about that as I was sanding the patch down. Realized it's gonna be smooth in that spot....

Gonna go ahead and just paint it, and just see how it turns out.

Not perfect, but if you don't know it's there you don't notice it. I can still see a line at the bottom that didn't fill in all the way.
