Do U Use QuickBooks 4 Estimates?

Hi everyone:

Does any of the painters here use Quickbooks contractors edition for estimates? It seems a little ridiculous.

I use my own excel spreadsheet. Can anyone recommend a good estimating program that won't put a hole in my pocket?

Do a search here there are some programs discussed.
By the way, Quickbooks should have an estimating program this year.
Does anyone know anything about it?

The Quickbooks program is called easy estimate, I saw it at Staples for $89 over the weekend. It appears to be a simple spreadsheet. Heres a link to the Easy Estimate web page http://quickbooks.intuit.com/commerc...00000008009602

I use and can recommend the devwave estimate works pro. The program has come a long way, and if nothing else at all...at a bare minimum, it will give you very professional looking estimates, work orders, and reports very easily.

I'll use QB Pro to email or print estimates
It sets me up for an invoice later, but it's no estimate program
I C&P the info
