Discount Question...

Sgtbaldy:

I have a question reguarding a special you offer through your web site... (btw... you have a nice site)...

On your "Specials" page you offer 75% off an interior project of $750 or more... is that a miss print? If not... how is that possible to turn a profit? If it is a miss print... I would fix it ASAP...

I never use a % off... I always use a dollar amount... its easier to manage and there is never a question... I only discount labor...

When I advertise a discount...(about 1-2 times a year) the customer must provide or mention the advertisement in order to receive discount... do any of you follow that rule...

How does anyone else offer discounts (if any)???

Do you use %..l or dollar amounts?

Do you discount the total cost of job (labor & materials) or do you just discount labor?

I give discounts once a year for a particular ad only. I give 10% off the cost of the job up to $750.00.

75% off sounds pretty good.

I was thinking of offering a 100% discount...and going more for a "volume" based business.

But then I decided I didn't really wanna work that hard...
