Re: Ding, Dong, My "Whizz" Is Dead (brush/sleeve Cleaning Recommendations Wanted)

For brushes--I use the mash under water method, wire brush, a drop of dish detergent, rinse thoroughly and let em dry overnight (or spin by hand if I need sooner). BTW--I saran wrap them for the ride home to keep them from gummin up.

For rollers, I SWEAR by the Roller Wizard It takes about one miute to clean your roller cover out like new. Hooks up to your sink nozzle. I used to throw them out after each job--but after throwing three or four out at a clip I was getting queasy!

Me too
On a hunch I dusted off and cranked up IE
After cleaning off the cobwebs I found that the website works with IE
There's no price listed, only "where to buy"
There's only a few places, a bit too far away from me
If I still had my Vonage I'd call one
As they are trying to sell something and have pasted the info on the interweb, I don't think they'd mind me C&Ping the info here

I highly doubt they had a roller in there that they had been using for 6+ hours with a real heavy duty latex paint. They could have had food colored water in there for all I know...

Nonetheless it looks pretty cool.

Re: Ding, Dong, My "Whizz" Is Dead (brush/sleeve Cleaning Recommendations Wanted)

At over 5 bucks a sleeve, if I get two jobs out of them (with my spinner and 5 gal bucket, or throwing them in the washer) I'm happy
If I could get four...
At least it's worth looking into

Toss in rollers, brushes, rags, small pails and let Edison do his thing.
Maybe its just me, but I do my best to baby my Purdy Swan, and I just cant see throwing it in a washing machine. I rinse by hand by mashing under water or under running water, toe tap a few times, then hand spin a few times to dry real good before putting the brush case back on. I have too much trouble getting the handles to stick in the spinners (at least the metal ones I've seen) or I would use them to spin my brushes. Maybe they need to be broke in or somthing. I just spin rollers out on the ground with a hose, or if it happens to be really, really cold outside I might bring em home and wash them in the sink. As for whizzies, thats a new one for me, we always called em weenie rollers.

Slick--that's starnge--I ordered mine online with no problems, but the page the "order online" links to is not the same. Otherwise try contacting the company. The roller wizard was like $24.95 plus shipping. Pays for itself if you normally throw out rollers.

Also--try e-bay. Once in a while you'll see one on there.

Hmmm...I'll still need a spinner for brushes though...

I dunno, since mine pretty much died I've been doing brushes the old fashion way the last couple of days
< shrugs smilie >
Not too bad w/o the spinner
Not as good as with though
