Difference in SW PM200/400??

I've been using a lot of the Promar paint lately. I was using the 200 and then went to the 400 for the cost savings. Honestly, I can't tell the difference, even when using the same colors.

Can anyone else see a difference in coverage or performance of these two paints? Never tried the 700 and not sure I'd want to.

steve

There is a slight difference between the 400 and 200.
I like using the 200xp over the 200. Now the 700 is much less expensive, but is a better paint than the box stores are selling anyday.

I used 200 on a complex to get all the colors the same, after that all the repaints were done with 400.

Using Floetrol in this hot weather

***Oooops... this was meant to be its own thread. See new thread. Sorry.***

Seems like this unusually hot weather we've had in Pa is wrecking havoc for me. I am doing an interior repaint. Was an older home with out-dated colors. I applied an oil primer (SW ProBlock). I am applying SW PM400. I cut in one wall at a time and quickly roll it out to avoid picture framing. This system typically works well for me, except that my paint has been drying extra fast for me.

I have some Floetrol to use. My question is, do I just add it to my cut bucket, or to the whole 5'er that I'm rolling out of? If I only apply to the cut bucket, I imagine the paint would dry at different rates possibily causing the same picture framing effect?

Any thoughts on this?

steve

Steve

add as you mix it, not to the 5

once you do anything to the 5 there's no turning back if need be

The difference between 200 and 400 is 200. It's pretty simple math, even for a painter.

Heh, I meant to post this as a new thread. Thanks for the reply anyway.
