I removed a built in linen clost that had been there since it was built (1900?) and drawn on the original plaster was a crude comet and someone had written "Halley's comet passed today".

Another was baseboard removal in an 1890's house and behind it, having fallen through the window sill above, were two valentine cards dated around 1900 that had never been sent. I gave them to the new owner.

Misc porn, underwear, newspapers from all decades, animal skeletons, recipes, coupons, green stamps, whiskey bottles.....

Mr. Mike will be familiar with this one from Louisville....Carpet layers prepping for new carpet in a recently purchased house found pics of the former owner of the house murdering his girlfriend. Very gruesome and tragic there.

A Luger pistol that I gave back.
Porn and porn items.

A set of pictures of the young "farm girl" housewife doing things that a porn star would get extra pay for doing. It was a fire job and the cleaning girls found the photos, we put them back.
You never know where dust mop has been for sure, do you? What I couldn't figure out was how she knew she was actually getting at the dust.

I've got a few; Painting a master bedroom and the HO is home "supervising" us. She decides she wants the Closet painted and takes out everything except for boxes on the top shelf. I have my 18yo helper hand the boxes down to her. One of them tips and out falls a "realistic" batt. operated .... well you know. This thing hits the floor, turns on, starts buzzing and gyrating. The three of us just stood there and stared for what seemed to be eternity. No one said a word. Finally she calmly reaches down, picks it up, turns it off, and puts it back in the box. Poor helper was beet red for a long time.

Doing a MBR for a single mother and we were replacing the vents in the ceilings and found a small video camera. The wires led to a VCR recorder in her son's bedroom. She was one PO'd mama.

Just vacuumed out the vermiculite insulation in my attic, (old farm house), and found a 20g shotgun with an 8" barrel and sawed off stock.

This is when I was a paperboy and was about 10. I found one of my customers laying in his driveway. There was a small drop off from the yard to the driveway that he had apparently fell down and was laying there bleeding from his head. I went and got the wife and since she wasnt all there I went and got the neihbors. All the neihbors just stood over him saying "he should of been in a home a long time ago", while the wife was debating wether to call an ambulance because of the cost. Her husband was laying there dying and she was worried about a couple hundred bucks and no one seen anything wrong with this except a 10 year old. They finally called an ambulance and all she was worried about was getting his wallet before they took him off (which was stuffed full of money). The guy died at the hospital. I should of paid more attention to the way she was acting back then and I wouldnt have been so surprised by the actions of all the women in my life.

Didn't exactly find this, but, building a new home on the site of a teardown, mailman delivers a package in discreet brown paper wrapping. Called the homeowner to ask how to forward the package. He said "open it and see what it is." Turns out he must have been in a porn fetish tape of the month club. I don't know if he was embarassed, but I was for him.

I find a lot of pot and the occasional porn mag. Bags of shake and roaches that fall behind cabinets. Once I found a rusty hand gun burried under some brush next to a garage. Given the area of town I'm sure it was dumped after a crime. My greatest finds are the antique fixtures that home owners want me to replace.

a really old wooden bowling ball, with 2 holes in it for some reason, we were playing with the thing at lunch smacking it agains the dumpster, ect. one of the guys took the thing home, put it in his attic for a few years, cleaned out and tried selling it for $5 at a yardsale, didnt get any takers and then put it on ebay where it sold for $678 if I remember correctly, and come to find out from the person who won the auction, it was from the earliest years of bowling, I cant remember the year and in the condition it was in was worth roughly $8000. who would have known.
porn, sex toys, and get this one. this job was just 3 months ago.....
the home owners thong underwear around the property, in the yard, driveway, next to the dumpster....... the only catch was.....
it was in the dogs sh**! I dont know what the dogs problem was, but it was only her underwear

Odd stuff...

My guys were on a new construction site with some completed homes.. The house next door didn't have any curtains up yet. A girl was giving the guys a show from her bathtub. Found out later on that she was an employee of a breast entertainment establishment. Surprised no one fell off a ladder that day...

I'm still waiting for Mr. Diet Coke...alas all I see is a cluttered desk.

Did a bath remod and when I removed the lath & plaster under the old med cabinet, thousands of used double edge razor blades where in the wall. Dangerous and hard to clean up!
