Question

Concrete Paint Or Stain?

Hello,

I am preparing to paint a garage floor that has been converted to a exercise/hobby room. No more garage door - cars no longer parked inside. I have noticed that the concrete is dark in some areas, no water, just appears damp. Any product suggestions?
I was planning to degrease the surface, then use H&C shield plus ultra concrete stain. Another option would be to seal with Zinsser Latex watertite and paint with BM Porch & Patio.
I would greatly appreciate your feedback!

Thank you,

cjc

Duct tape a square of plastic on the floor overnight - if it's wet underneath next day you have moisture issues to deal with. Probably best to use stain if there's any sign of moisture. But I'm not a floor coatings expert.

Moore's Porch & Patio can go over dampness
(No need for a primer)
Can't go over anything even somewhat resembling petroleum product residue of any kind though
