I've seen the signs around my area (they make good shotgun patterning boards)
The guys I've seen on thier jobs were a) usually not college students, b) a mile from professional, and c) painters in kind only because there was paint on site.
Not a jab at you but in the Detroit area they as many of the larger "painting" companies hire anyone who will show up with a drivers license.

Hello College Pro

here in dekalb illinois college pro is around alot ...have big college but no pro'...i am afraid the name is not really appreciated ...it is impossible to expect kids in college to understand that painting is a trade, with all of the responsibility that a tradesman should be able to produce....i have talked to a college pro...pro a couple of times, i am sorry to say that i was not very impressed with the lack of knowledge ....but i am sure the jobsite mgrs. have seriously tried to produce in any given summer what it has taken other painters years of grunting to learn....good luck to you

I think people are misunderstanding my post. I am not a college kid trying to run a painting business. I began 10 yrs ago with cpp, and was trying to see how many others on here began with a the company. I do agree with many of the opinions on the company. But for some it is a great learning experience and can really help a young entrepreneur learn how to run a business. Now that I am a truely experienced painting business owner these college companies really piss me off to. Weird due to my beginning with the organization. I am really just wondering how many of my peers from the late 90s early 2000s are on this site with a cpp background.

You seem to have a rather unique outlook and background
First off, you were with CP for more than one season
And second, your mention of the fact that you were with them at all is not full of expletives and how much money you got ripped off

I'm not trying to diss your background, on the contrary, kudos for making it work and then continuing on and beyond

I'm just saying I don't think I've heard a CP story like yours before
