This is my favorite work-related saying. A wild guy named Little Al taught it to me when I worked at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego. It applies to all trades, but especially to ours - the painting trades.

It represents a FACT that every client should be aware of.

"In other words," you say to your client, "You can have it fast and good but it won't be cheap. You can have it good and cheap but it won't be fast. OR, you can have it fast and cheap but it won't be good."

Is this or is this not the best work-related saying of all time?

There was a good article in the May issue of JLC on the "Priority Triangle" Quality, Schedule, Price - Pick Two. It absolutely fits well to most situations.
