Cedar Vs. ?
We construct quite a few cedar screened porches and have always used a clear sealer with good results. Recently we were asked to paint a porch we had just built. Painting cedar was not a pleasant experience! What would be a more paint friendly material (other than pvc) that would handle the weather in the midwest as well as cedar? Most woods that we looked at are considerably more expensive, such as redwood, teak, etc.

Re: Cedar Vs. ?
Maybe the problem wasn't the cedar but the product applied or the application method. Maybe a solid color stain through airless?
