Candle Wax On Exterior Wall.
Ol'#2 has decided that she wants a 'feature' wall by the pool. Unfortunately, she spilled candle way on it last year. The wall is stucco over block, any ideas about removing the wax and leaving the wall relatively intact?
Damned HGTV!

Hey Teetor have you tried using a towel and an iron for using clothes. Put the towel over the candle wax and run the iron over the wax. The wax will melt from the heat of the iron and the towel will soak up the melted wax. My wife uses this method to get wax out of the carpet.

WD-40 on a rag to get the most of it off then Goof off to remove any of the WD-40. Soap and warter to remove the Goof off and paint.

Re: Candle Wax On Exterior Wall.
I'm afraid that the problem with heat is that it will cause the wax to penetrate deeper or scatter it to other places.
There is something that will dissolve wax, I just can't remember what it is. The older you get, the more brain farts you seem to have.

Re: Candle Wax On Exterior Wall.
I'm not sure if this will work for your problem Teetor but it worked on wood. Many years ago my brain dead wife (now my ex) spilled an entire bucket of hot, melted wax from a citronella candle onto my then untreated cedar deck. Needless to say, the wax penetrated completely into the wood. A few applications of deck scrub and a power washer got the wax out.
