Box Truck

Hey guys,
I figured I'd go straight to the painters with this question.
I just bought a used box truck(GMC 3500 cutaway). I'm wondering, is there an easy way to get the residual adhesive from the previous owners lettering off the van? Bringing it in for a professional repaint isn't in the budget right now. I've seen guys paint over it with "kills" or "bins" primer but this is just going to raise the cost of a repaint down the road.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Use an orange based spray. Heat gun works well too. Can't remember the name of the spray but it comes in a spray bottle and has a black cap. We have used it on three vans and it works the best. Don't paint over it, it will look like you in fact, painted over it.
I will try to find a bottle

Try WD40, it usually works for me.

Acetone shouldn't hurt the existing finish if you use it in short bursts. Rub a spot once or twice quickly then move on to another spot.

Re: Box Truck

Thanks guys, I'll try them all. I'm just psyched to get my 1st. box truck on the road. Compared to Dodge PU, I can't imagine what I'll do with all the space.
