bid this job.

New construction. 1500 sq ft on main floor. 1500 square foot basement. No trim. All sent off to be stained. main floor has 9 foot ceilings, Master bedroom, large master bath, laundry, 1/2 bath, and huge room for kitchen/living room. Appx 40 feet long with cathedral ceilings. Rest of the house has 9 foot ceilings. Basement is two bedrooms appx 12x12. full bath, big room appx 40 feet long. Ceilining are 9 foot. Paint is all flat. I am normally around 2.00 square foot. But that is for trim and doors. I bid this one at about 1.25 bringing me to a total of $3,750. It should go real fast with no cutting to do except for ceiling lines. It scares me though bidding at 1.25 when i am used to 2.00 square foot. Anyone else want to throw some numbers out there. I'm sure some of you are drastically higher. Anyone in my league?

Doors? That would make or break for me... but I wouldn't do it either way for less than 1.65 unless mats are supplied. Love those "no trim" homes... boom, gone in 60 minutes.

All one color? About 2.20 footage, goes up from there depending on difficulty, etc.

so me charging 1.25 versus your 1.65 is about right if our trim and wall package is also about 20cents or so different.

Traditions,

So no trim, doors, handrail, etc. The only thing you will have to paint is the ceilings and walls. Are the closets going to have any wood (shelving) that needs to be painted. Is there one color for the ceilings and walls.

nothing but the walls and ceilings. She is talking about putting some colors on some ceilings and maybe some stripes( ) here and there. However, any of that will be add ons. Closets will be sprayed whatever color ceilings are so i can spray them when i prime. As of now no wood to paint.

Robert S. How much would you think you would spend on materials? There is going to be a bunch of primer and paint for this job. 9 foot ceilings, cathedrals, lots of wall space to cover. Also gotta figure in your equipment wear and tear, gas, all overhead. 2400 bucks wouldn't leave much for labor. Or is 2400 labor only. In that case we are about exactly the same.

that would be labor but like i say would have to see it .for there may be factors involved.i may could go lower since i have no employees.all depends also if they have more jobs behind it i could knock off a little.
