Best Exterior Waterproof Treatment

Just getting my ducks in a row. New trailer on the way and it will have 3swing out doors that, when open, will be exposed to the elements.
What would you use on 3/8" plywood doors to give the greatest protection, especially from the rain? (Primer and paint)
Thanks

Re: Best Exterior Waterproof Treatment

I would use a Semi Trans or Semi Solid Stain... Cabots

If you want Primer and then Paint... 2/coats of Oil primer... first coat 30% diluted.. 2nd coat full... Benjamin Moore's Fresh Start Oil...

For Finish... You could use Oil or Latex ...Benmoore's - Moore Glo Soft Gloss... (Latex) or Benmoore's - IronClad for Oil...

I recommend Benmoore because I am a Benmoore user....

Re: Best Exterior Waterproof Treatment

primer--latex--"preprite problock"
finish--latex--"all surface enamel"

both SW products, both latex, both incredibly durable especially for doors--I've used this formula and can say this with confidence

a lot of guys are going away from oils, including myself and the industry for that matter--but if you must, the all surface enamel comes in oil too
